Everything is loaded for a pre-daylight departure tomorrow morning. The pick-up is full of gas ($1.93 a gallon). But the guess is, this may be one of the lowest prices that will be encountered between Minnesota and Moab. How about it? Give me the gas price where you live!! Especially if anyone knows the price in Moab. We hope to arrive in Moab on Monday. The 'Shunpiker' trip will take us to some Oregon Trail historical sites in Nebraska. The two-lane highways await.

Storm Rider - Sorry that I didn't get back to you before your trip. I had some pressing projects to complete that kept me away from my personal computer for a while.

Here in Moab our gas prices have been well over $2.00 for most of the year. However, to be honest with you I never even notice what the price is because, frankly, we have no choice here in Moab. If residents don't like the local prices the only option is to drive 100 miles to Grand Junction! There may be a difference of a few cents between gas stations in town, but generally they are all high in comparison to the national average. It's just the price we pay to live here....

...but how 'bout those red rocks, eh?

Hope you had a great trip!
