Canyonlands
Fog

In early
January most of Utah experienced a rather unusual thermal inversion, which
resulted in a thick layer of cold valley fog topped by a warm layer of
very still air. After spending 3 days buried in the gloomy fog in Moab,
Rhonda and I decided to head up to the Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands
National Park to bask in the sunlight. As you can see below, the views
were spectacular! The Island in the Sky was quite literally an Island
in the Sky! All photos were taken with my Nikon Coolpix 5700 and
reduced in size for web display.
